There are many standpoints about international cooperation all over the world. A section of society believes that the protection of the environment is crucial for the sake of humanity; in contrast, another group argues that global business is necessary nowadays. This essay will discuss both aspects of this debate and outline my opinion on both.
On the one hand, environmental preservation is essential worldwide, and all nations must collaborate for human survival. Without a healthy environment, human life is at risk; for example, water shortages or global warming pose significant problems, especially for people in Africa. Moreover, proponents of this view point out that protecting the ozone layer is vital to prevent skin cancer. Many countries, such as Iran, India, and China, use non-renewable energy instead of renewable energy, even though it is harmful to people and the planet.
On the other hand, some people argue that business and economic benefits are the main advantages of international cooperation. For instance, the USA and China focus on business and often overlook environmental concerns because they believe economic growth is crucial. They argue that economic growth can help other countries by boosting exports and imports, reducing poverty, increasing investment, creating jobs, and improving living standards.
In conclusion, I think the environment is very important, without which life is impossible. We should prevent natural disasters by preserving nature, as it is a critical issue for humanity. Of course, businesspeople should have the opportunity to make their own money.
