In the present time, children should know about different types of knowledge as it directly affects their future. In my opinion, every course that children pass has its benefits in its own way; however, nowadays, subjects like Technology and Science are more crucial compared to History. This choice has some advantages and drawbacks which will be discussed in this essay.
On the one hand, learning History helps children gain enriching information about the culture and past of their country. It also gives young individuals a sense of belonging. For example, in Iran, when students learn about the ancient civilization, they feel honored. Knowing about the roots of the Norouz holiday and the history of the kings who managed the country might be engaging for some students too.
On the other hand, although History plays a vital role in people's perspective of their country, Technology-related and Science subjects are more critical in people's lives. Courses related to Technology have a wide variety of fields which are really helpful in finding occupations. In addition, it appeals more to children as it relates to their lifestyle. For example, I know a genius boy who was talented in machine learning. After almost 2 years, he graduated and found a job in his field, which was a great accomplishment for a young boy.
In conclusion, this essay agrees with the argument that Science and Technology are more crucial in comparison with History. Meanwhile, History should still be maintained as a source of information about the civilization of their country.
