Some people believe that university graduates should work in their countries of origin where they studied. Others believe that they should be able to work wherever they desire. Discuss both views and express your opinion. Completing education, most individuals step into the next stage of life: pursuing a career. There are, however, conflicting views on where they should work, whether to seek employment solely in the country they studied or pursue opportunities globally. A number of people claim that since it is the government that provides and funds the education system that nurtures professionals, learners are obliged to serve the country and reciprocate by playing an active role in the country's development. This perspective is also rooted in patriotism, assuming that individuals owe loyalty to the nation that invested in them. Furthermore, this duty is not merely ideological but essential for the nation's survival. Should a country lose its skilled workforce, the very foundation of its economy would be undermined, leading to long-term social and economic decline. The other group, on the other hand, contends that individuals should be free to pursue careers anywhere in the world based on personal preference, as this is a fundamental human right to have freedom of choice and self-determination. Limiting their choice within a single country's border is a violation of their basic liberties. Moreover, given this opportunity, graduate students can offer their skills on the global stage, which leads to advancements that benefit humanity entirely. I tend to think that although provided with education services by the government, students are also taxpayers who have already fulfilled their duty to their community thoroughly. Therefore, it is not morally or ethically right to take away their freedom of choice. A more effective strategy is for a country to make itself an attractive destination for international talent, not restricting its graduates to serve the country.
