In recent years, wearing western attire such as suits and jeans has become more popular than traditional clothes in many countries. Globalization and people's priorities can be associated with this trend. I completely believe that this is a positive development. One of the main reasons for the popularity of western wear is globalization. People have become increasingly interconnected by using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. These platforms pave the way for western designers to share their ideas in clothing with other people and influence their design and clothing sense. For example, American designers have a chance to share their designs with others by introducing their products on different platforms and advertising them with the help of artists and actors who have large numbers of fans. Moreover, another reason is the total comfort and convenience these clothes provide. People can wear them in different social settings without any restrictions, such as in the workplace, university, and ceremonies. Due to a lack of financial resources, such clothes are more affordable than traditional clothes, so people choose them as typical dress. For example, in my country, traditional clothes are so expensive and uncomfortable that people not only cannot afford them but also find them inappropriate for social situations. Although some people believe that formal and casual western outfits can damage our culture by reducing people’s willingness to wear traditional clothes, I believe that we can preserve our culture and traditions by wearing those outfits in specific situations and ceremonies. For example, in my country, people wear traditional clothes in different ceremonies such as Nowruz, Yalda night, and weddings. Moreover, these universal dress codes could help individuals to be more connected to each other and reduce social differences between people who live in different countries. In conclusion, universal interaction and the convenience of western styles are the main reasons for their popularity. I completely believe that it is a positive development because it is not only affordable but also reduces barriers among people and brings them closer.
